Essential Oils:
Here are a few I've tried recently:
Lavender is a great universal oil. It can be used on most anything. It has relaxing properties that are helpful to those who have a hard time sleeping. It is gentle enough to use with children at bedtime. Lavender has often been used during labor. It is also great for soothing burns and cuts.
Lemon is a fresh natural oil used for cleaning and adding to drinking water for anti-oxidants.
Peppermint is a refreshing scent that can be used for headaches, nausea, or to invigorate.
On Guard is my favorite right now. It contains a unique mixture that works to keep germs away, similar to a natural Airborn. I put a little on my children's feet before bedtime to keep their immune systems strong.
Melaleuca - This can be used daily on facial blemishes. It's also useful for cold sores and other skin issues.
